CITIZEN WONG - THE PROJECT
DOCUMENTARY, STAGE PLAY, LIMITED TV SERIES, FEATURE FILM
"Citizen Wong" is a multi-pronged project to firmly establish Wong Chin Foo's rightful position in the American consciousness as an 1800s civil rights pioneer. The initiative includes a documentary, feature film, TV series and a play which had its off-Broadway world premiere in April-May 2022. Educational materials including coursework and the play's script will become part of the school and college curriculum especially as states increasingly mandate Asian-American studies. "Citizen Wong" will serve as serve as an essential resource for thought leaders, teachers, and students, and help to shift the paradigm of Americans toward “a more perfect union” that embraces diversity.
